The Countdown to Kindness: All the Events Leading to December 12th”

As we step into the fall season, our little organization is gearing up for one of the busiest, most meaningful times of the year. Over the next several weeks, we have a full lineup of programs, stories, events, and community connections — all designed to bring comfort, joy, and support to the people and companion animals who rely on us.

Hope for the Holidays 2026 Begins Today

Our annual virtual adoption program officially starts now and runs through December 12th.This is the heart of our season — a chance for our community to “virtually adopt” seniors, veterans, survivors of domestic violence, displaced homemakers, teens, and companion animals by fulfilling their holiday needs and heartfelt wishes.

Our “Look at This” Campaign

Running right alongside Hope for the Holidays is our new “Look at This” campaign. Each week, we’ll be sharing:

• Senior letters

• Christmas tags

• New tags added to our website

• Special highlights from our families and companion animals

It’s a simple way to shine a spotlight on the stories that matter.

Faceless Ghost Story Videos

As we move into fall and Halloween, we’ll be releasing a series of animal‑related ghost stories told through our faceless video style. They’re spooky, emotional, and a little mysterious — and we think you’ll really enjoy them.

Sunday Community Connection

Starting Sunday, September 13th, from 1–3 PM, we’re launching a brand‑new weekly program: Sunday Community Connection.   Every Sunday through December 12th, we’ll host:

• A meet‑and‑greet

• A weekend donation drive

• A flash fundraiser

• A small “online‑a‑thon” featuring special items

It’s a chance for our community to come together, support one another, and help us keep our programs moving forward.

Halloween Eve Spooky Stories

On October 30th, from 8–9 PM, we’ll be live online sharing spooky stories with you. Since many folks will be out on Halloween night, we’re celebrating a day early — and we can’t wait to spend the evening with you.

November: “The Harvest” Donation Drive

In November, we’ll be hosting a much larger donation drive called “The Harvest.” More details will be shared as we get closer, but this event will help us stock up for winter and support our families through the holiday season.

Giving Tuesday

And of course, we’ll be participating in Giving Tuesday — a day dedicated to generosity and community support. We’ll be asking for donations to help us continue providing food, care, and comfort to the people and animals we serve.

Hope for the Holidays Ends December 12th

On December 12th, our program officially ends for the season. After that, we finish delivering gifts, prepare holiday meals, and then — finally — we rest.

It’s going to be a full, beautiful season, and we’re grateful to have you with us every step of the way.
