It's that time of year again. Hope for the Holidays 2026 is in full swing. There are a few small changes this year. 

1. Our official deadline to have all gifts and packages dropped off to us is set for December 12th, 2026 

2. This is just an FYI - Any funds/gift cards for vetting should be donated directly to Whiskers and Tails. We take care of appointments and transporting the animals to the vet. (This alleviates any concerns that the gift card or funding will be used for anything other than vetting.

3. To ensure that someone will be at the office to collect donations, you must contact us by direct message or email us at whiskersandtail2@gmail.com to set a time to drop off your packages at our office. We are in and out so much during the holiday season and we don't want to miss you or waste your time.

Here is how Hope for the Holidays 2026 works - Simply scroll through the tags (images) below and read the stories. You then pick 1 (one) or more families, individuals or companion animal to help and then you can email us to let us know who you have chosen. Please keep in mind that we do not remove the tags until the season is over. We do not want anyone thinking they have been forgotten or looked over.  You can either make a direct donation to us for us to do the shopping, or you can go out and do the shopping and drop your packages off here for us to deliver to the families. We have a Christmas Crew that does all of the delivering and if the packages arrive at our office before/by the deadline, they will be delivered in plenty of time for our families to have them under their tree for Christmas morning. 

You will notice that certain brand names are shown on the tags below - it is through a lot of trying and testing, that we have discovered that the foods shown are the foods these animals can eat without getting really sick so please, purchase only the foods shown. 

Another thing we would like to mention is that we have had a few folks ask why many of the tags show "Blue Dawn Original" dish soap on there. Well, Dawn dish soap does way more than wash dishes so that saves money for many of our families. That is why we make sure to include it on so many of the tags. 

This year we have actually included some tags that we call toughies. Toughies are tags that we generally save for large groups because these tags are asking for more than our regular families ask for. Toughies are often our worse cases that have come from domestic violence situations. They need more than just the essentials and dog or cat food. Sometimes they need appliances, electronics or things like that to help move forward. Please take a look at these tags if you work with a large group that is looking for someone to virtually adopt this holiday season.  We have their lists of needs and wishes on file. Email us for their list.
