Seniors, veterans, displaced homemakers, survivors of domestic violence and low to no income companion animal families are facing some of the toughest economic challenges they have ever had to face. Every single day they are forced to choose between paying their bills and purchasing lifesaving medications or providing food and veterinary care for their beloved companion animals.
Their animals are not just a dog or a cat, they are a part of the family. For most, they are the only family they have. They don't want to lose them just because they don't have any money.
Whiskers and Tails works relentlessly to bridge the gap between economic instability and the well-being of both humans and animals. and their furry companions.
On April 18th we will host a 12 - hour long fundraising event. This event aims to not only raise awareness about the challenges our families face but also raise funds that will alleviate the burden they bear every single day.
Every contribution helps keep animals at home with their families where they belong.
The funds raised will be used to purchase food for both humans and animals, prescription foods for animals, ongoing, urgent and emergency animal medical care, heaters and fans, clothing, bedding, furnace and air conditioner repair, home repairs, medical supplies and equipment and the basic needs of life.
At the beginning of every hour, we will share a story from one of the families that we are working so hard to help. That's why we have named this fundraiser, 'Tails of Hope".
Please join us and support our efforts to provide aid and assistance to companion animal families and individuals who are struggling.
Here is a small list of what we will be offering:
Ten pallets, (over one hundred large boxes) of items have been donated for our fundraiser.
We don't know what's in the boxes but, the donors left some clues behind with the boxes.
We have interior and exterior doors, bicycles, office supplies, candles and home interior items. Brand hot dog steamer and Kettle Popcorn maker and we will have lots more goodies as the day goes by.
