As i sit and write this new blog I can't help but think of the fact that it is a new year
and with a new year comes a fresh start and the hope of a lots of good things to come.
Our tiny little group has accomplished a lot of really big things over the past twenty some
years. We have given food to the hungry ( both two legged and four). We have given
clothing and furniture and bedding and for many, we have given them the chance to
We couldn't have done any of that without the giant hearts of caring people like you.
Our group is not federally or state funded. We operate solely on the small grants that we
are lucky enough to be awarded and the generous donations that we receive from people just like you.
Whiskers and Tails has been around for just over twenty years. We have seen some
pretty hard times and we have gone through the loss of many donors and supporters
who helped us to make a huge difference in the lives of over 4,125 animals and just over
3,200 humans. Those donors were more than just donations. They were our friends.
Many got older and passed away. Many lost their jobs, businesses or homes due to the economy. They still send their well wishes and the ones who are still with us try to support
whenever they can.
It is our sincere hope that the new year will bring us a few more folks who care and who would want to support our efforts in helping both humans and animals who are truly
